Just 5 months after its opening, the Florentine restaurant inside Palazzo Portinari Salviati obtains the coveted recognition in the revered guide’s latest selection.
Chic Nonna di Vito Mollica has been awarded the prestigious Michelin Star. The new food & beverage project, one of the most anticipated openings of the year, sees Vito Mollica at the helm, in collaboration with Mine & Yours Group, and, alongside him, the two Restaurant Chefs Rosario Bernardo and Paolo Acunto; the F&B Manager David Bonissone, Mark Ignatov and Davide Altobelli as Restaurant Managers, Clizia Zuin as Sommelier and Tim Ricci is the pastry consultant.
Chic Nonna di Vito Mollica immediately aimed to become a reference point for haute cuisine, based on fine dining and raw materials of exceptional quality. A traditional cuisine, focused on seasonality and authenticity, but which broadens the horizons of taste, thanks to the use of innovative techniques and ingredients selected from local and world excellence.
“This important recognition is for Chic Nonna a starting point to do even better.” – Vito Mollica said. “My thanks go first of all to my Team, which is made up of all the collaborators of Chic Nonna and Salotto Portinari Bar & Bistrot, young professionals who got involved by following me in this project and strongly believing in it. They say that at the moment no one wants to work in the restaurant world anymore but here, every day, I have proof of how important it is to team up and create a serene work environment to achieve even the most ambitious goals “.
Chic Nonna Firenze, which also includes Salotto Portinari Bar & Bistrot, was created by Vito Mollica in collaboration with Mine & Yours Group and is part of a broader international project developed together with the CEO Stefano Cuoco, who has already given the opening of another restaurant in Dubai and the possibility of new openings over the next few months.
